It has a delicious sweet and caramelly taste, and creates a beautiful, rich flavor profile when paired with certain varietals of cacao.
Coconut sugar comes from the flower blossoms of the coconut palm tree. When the flowers are cut, the blossoms release a sweet, silky sap, reminiscent of the sap from a maple tree. The nectar is captured, dehydrated, and poured over trays in a thin layer to crystalize. The result is pure, unrefined, delicious, coconut sugar.
